We have an exciting NEWLY CREATED opportunity available Category Leader, Information Technology, reporting directly to our systems Chief Supply Chain Officer.
 
This is a unique opportunity to provide your industry expertise in a progressive not-for-profit, mission-driven healthcare environment.  In this role, you will manage company-wide 3rd party spend within the Information Technology Procurement Category with portfolio responsibility for all Supply Management activity within your Category.  Responsibilities you will assume include: 
 
         Facilitating the definition, development & execution of company-wide procurement Category Strategy
         Directing all Category activity, both operational and strategic, including operating & capital expenses
         Conducting 3rd party spend analysis to accurately target strategic sourcing opportunities  
         Leading company-wide strategic sourcing activities from a position of influence, collaborating with all key stakeholders to ensure Total Cost of  Ownership perspective, not simply price improvement
         Developing proposals for strategic sourcing projects within IT Category and obtaining stakeholder agreement
         Following Customer Advisory Board (CAB) and Supply Chain Operations Team (SCOT) decision-making approach as described in SCOT Charter (e.g. Supply Chain Operating Model).
         Operationalizing contract management/compliance processes as well as supplier management/development processes and activities within the IT Category
         Promoting best practices and operational excellence within category, including benchmarking performance
         Leading the effort to build diverse supplier base within Category in support of company diversity efforts
         Providing strategic sourcing guidance to all levels of stakeholders to achieve agreed company results
         Working with Finance department to ensure proper calculation of sourcing savings & company budgetary impact
         Accountable for achieving category cost reduction as part of company procurement savings targetTo be qualified, you will have:

• Bachelors degree required, preferably in Supply Chain/Operations Management, MBA preferred
• 10 + years experience in strategic sourcing required
• 2-5 years Leadership experience required
• Certification from ISM and/or APICS preferred, one of which will be required within 2 years of hire
• Expert knowledge in strategic sourcing for mid-to-large size company environment
• Solid skills in data analysis, using spend analysis, contract management and eSourcing tools
• Intermediate knowledge of accounting & finance
• Consulting experience helpful (project management skills/working effectively with stakeholders)
